Welcome to The Campus Food Bank’s Powerplay Cup 2017- Registration is now open!

This year marks our eleventh tournament, which will be held on the March 25th from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M at the Universiade Pavillion, more commonly known as the Butterdome. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards the University of Alberta’s Campus Food Bank to purchase non-perishables, perishable, and toiletries for over 2500 clients we serve.

This year, in lieu of registration fees, teams are required to fundraise minimum of $300 to participate in the tournament. So feel free to ask your family, friends, colleagues, etc. There will be prizes for the top earning team  More information regarding the method of fundraising will be available in the registration welcome package!

Additionally, all players are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to the event as the ball will be given to the team that brings more food items at the kick-off of your first game.

Finally, all participating teams’ players are required to sign the rule book to avoid any confusion during the match. The tournament runs on modified Futsal rules, the main ones are as follows:

  •  5v5 (including goalie)
  • Two females must be on court at all times
  • Maximum one varsity player allowed on court (your team may have more)
  • Corner kicks stay on the ground
  • Each team is guaranteed 3 games
  • Please wear appropriate footwear
  • Please wear the colours your captain has provided
