As of December 1, 2012, clients will be responsible for bringing their own bags to pick up their food hamper. We do have some reusable bags for your use. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note that we only provide emergency assistance for U of A students, staff, and alumni in financial distress. Food Banks do not provide long-term food assistance, and our clients are expected to access other services that offer long-term solutions to financial or personal strain. Our volunteers can refer you to on-campus services for both local and international services.

Our Fall Office Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Alternately, you can visit in person, email, or phone the Campus Food Bank to request a hamper.  We ask that you use up all items from your last hamper before requesting another one. 

Please have the following information included or ready when making a hamper request:

  • Client Identification Number
  • Number of Adults, Children, and Infants in the household that we have identification on file for
  • Date that you wish to pick up the hamper
  • Time that you wish to pick up the hamper
  • Any Medical Conditions or Allergies we should be aware of

Please note: If you are within the 14 day Hamper Request period, the Campus Food Bank will not be able to authorize the hamper request. Please allow 1 business day for the Campus Food Bank to process the email requests.
