Spring Term may be winding down, but your Campus Food Bank is gearing up for a very busy summer.
On July 21st, we will be hosting our Second Annual De Vera Cup Beach Volleyball Tournament at the Garneau Tennis Club. You can register a team of 5 people or more for just $150 and prizes will be given out to the top 3 teams. If you’d like to register a team, please contact Arvin at arvin.abedi@ualberta.ca. On August 9th, Aramark will be hosting it’s 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at The Ranch Golf and Country Club in Edmonton. For the 6th year, the event is raising money for both the U of A and Grant McEwan Campus Food Banks. Proceeds from these events will go to the Campus Food Bank as part of our summer fundraising campaign. While students continue to access the Campus Food Bank over the summer, we receive significantly fewer donations after classes end in April. We depend on the generosity of the U of A community to continue distributing food to the 2,500 students, staff, and faculty who access the Campus Food Bank every year. We accept non-perishable food donations during our summer office hours (Tuesday-Friday, 12-4pm) in SUB 1-81.
