We welcome any non-perishable food donations. However, if you need ideas, we have a list of the non-perishable food items, which are most useful for our food bank.
Registration for our annual Trick or TrEAT Halloween Food Drive is now open!
September has been one of our busiest months ever, and we need your help to stock our shelves for the semester! Trick or TrEAT is a fun and family friendly way to celebrate Halloween and give back to the campus community. This year’s drive will be taking place from 1:00PM to 5:00PM on October 30th.
This is our largest food drive of the year, and we rely on volunteers to make it happen! We are recruiting volunteers for door to door teams and driver teams. You may register as a team or as an individual, but please be aware that individual registrants will be combined together into a team. If you register as a team no one else will be added to the team you have registered.
Please note that proof of vaccination is required to participate in this event. Vaccination status will be confirmed with registrants in advance of the event.
All volunteers will be required to attend an online orientation at 6:00PM on either October 28th or October 29th.
Door to door teams are volunteer teams of 4-7 people responsible for collecting donations from the neighbourhood! You will be walking an assigned route through the neighbourhood knocking on doors to collect donations from community members! You may also be collecting bags left on porches set out by other residents. Door to door volunteers are the face of Trick or TrEAT!
Driver teams are teams of 2 responsible for collecting donations from door to door teams and delivering them back to the Campus Food Bank! A driver and a navigator will work together to communicate with volunteers on collection routes and at the Students’ Union Building to ensure all donations are received by the Campus Food Bank! You do require your own vehicle to register for this position.
Registration is handled by the galaxy digital system. To register for this event you will need to first make an account on galaxy digital and e-sign the required documents.
