CFB seeking Board Directors for 2024-27
Campus Food Bank is looking for passionate, curious people interested in exploring and changing systems and structures to join our Board and provide leadership to an organization that believes students should hunger for knowledge, not food.
The Board has a vision of being a fun, diverse, and vision-focused team that is a safe space for diverse perspectives to show up as their whole selves for deep dialogue and discussion about how to proactively improve food security for students.
Anyone interested in showing up with intentionality and commitment to problem solving, leadership, and active participation to ensure all students have enough to eat would appreciate this team and opportunity. If you have a social justice perspective or knowledge that you’d like to apply with a Board to a nonprofit and a social issue, this is a team you don’t want to miss out on joining.
The Board and organization would benefit at this time from people with financial management experience willing to teach others, people with some experience with nonprofit HR in growing organizations, and/or those with movement organizing experience, though none of these are requirements for joining.
Please read our Board Director Job Description for more details about the role and commitments.
If you have any questions, would like more information, please contact ED Erin O’Neil at ed@campusfoodbank.com.
If you would like to run for the Board at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 15, please send an Expression of Interest introducing yourself and your commitment to food security work to recruitment@campusfoodbank.com with the subject line ‘Board of Directors’. The deadline to apply for the CFB Board of Directors is Wednesday, October 9.
The Campus Food Bank is a registered Canadian charity and the CFB Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring the organization meets the requirements of charitable status set out by the Government of Canada.
