Our vision is a campus where students hunger for knowledge, not food.

Thank you for helping end food insecurity at the University of Alberta!

The Campus Food Bank Society is an independent charity supporting University of Alberta students, faculty, staff, and alumni up to five years. Our funding sources include student fees, government grants, community grants, and donations. We receive no funding from the U of A.

How to support our work

Monetary donations

Your direct donation of funds allows us flexibility to purchase what is most needed at a certain time.

Online donations made using the giving form on this page receive a tax receipt by email.

If preferred, cheques can be made out to “Campus Food Bank” and mailed or dropped off at our office. Cash can be dropped off during our open hours. Tax receipts can be mailed if no email address is provided.

Run your own fundraiser

Hosting an event? Retiring? Having a birthday?

Request donations to the Campus Food Bank from your friends and family! You can simply collect money and send it as a donation online or drop it off at our office. Or, you can set up your very own fundraising page at any time of year!

Donate your ONEcard balance

University of Alberta community members who use their ONEcard for campus purchases can donate the balance of their account at the end of the year. Learn more on the ONEcard website or complete the quick and easy donation form online.

Donate through SkipTheDepot

Support the food bank simply by scheduling a pick-up for your recyclables! On the scheduled day of your pickup, place your bags of bottles and containers outside by 8am. The driver will pick up your bags, label them, and take them to the SkipTheDepot counting facility. When you sign up, you can choose to direct the funds from your pickup to the Campus Food Bank and we will receive the money from your returns. To learn more and sign up, head to SkipTheDepot!
